CS2 skins
Skins marketplace
Also known as: Skin marketplace, Skins market
A skins marketplace facilitates direct buying and selling of CS2 skins (and sometimes items from games such as Dota 2, Rust or TF2) between users, without gambling mechanics. Users set prices, the platform charges a transaction commission and the system automatically manages Steam trades. Unlike case opening or skin gambling, a P2P marketplace is not considered regulated gambling in most jurisdictions.
Context
P2P marketplaces compete on three fronts: available inventory size, the spread against Steam Community Market prices (usually 10–30% cheaper) and cashout liquidity. Major ecosystem marketplaces in 2026 process hundreds of thousands of transactions monthly. Some combine P2P marketplaces with trade-up or upgrade modules, potentially reclassifying part of their activity as gambling depending on jurisdiction — making it important to review the applicable regulatory framework in each market before advertising activation.
