Responsible gaming

Responsible gaming is the set of practices, messages and tools designed to keep online gambling participation at healthy levels and prevent addiction-related problems. It includes mandatory 18+ disclaimers, voluntary and automatic deposit limits, self-exclusion, information on professional support and proactive operator communication when risk patterns are detected. It is mandatory under DGOJ rules in Spain, while each LATAM market has comparable requirements.
Context
Although often reduced to a small logo on a banner, responsible gaming is a complex regulatory and technical ecosystem: operators must detect problematic behaviour (sudden increases in deposit frequency, very long sessions, chasing losses) and act, not merely display warnings. Creators promoting iGaming are part of the chain, which is why RD 958/2020 requires responsible-participation messages in every commercial communication.
