LTV
Also known as: Lifetime Value, Customer Lifetime Value
LTV (Lifetime Value) is the net revenue an operator expects to generate from a player throughout their relationship with the platform. It combines deposit frequency, average transaction value, retention rate and net margin per transaction. It determines how much an operator can afford to pay to acquire a new user, setting the real ceiling for CPA amounts and RevShare percentages.
Context
LTV varies radically by vertical and player profile: a VIP casino player can have an LTV of thousands of euros, while a casual bingo user is usually below 100. In sportsbook, LTV depends heavily on the market’s sporting calendar (football dominates Spain and LATAM; NFL dominates North America). LTV is usually calculated over 6, 12 or 24 months and is a statistical estimate — never an observed figure for a specific user except retrospectively.
How we apply it at SocialPro
When an operator has high LTV in its vertical, SocialPro usually proposes RevShare or hybrid models to capture the upside. When LTV is low or uncertain, fixed CPA protects the affiliate.
